Articles and Websites

They say that writing articles and having a website are essential to making money on the internet. Well, duh! I wrote 4 articles and submitted them to e-zine.com on the antique picker's job and lo and behold in just 4 days I have had over 50 readers, 15 of whom looked at my profile, 3 of whom looked at my URLs. Still, no money pouring in. Next, I started the 30 day free trial with TrafficWave.net and have set up a series of newsletters for subscribers. (No, none yet)Daunting task, but kind of fun. The website needs more pages, I think, but time heals.

No one has touched the auto-responder chains. I did set up several affiliate banners on my website, but so far nada there. It looks like free advertising is just not going to produce much, but with no money to invest in the business this month, it will just have to wait. More reading in the meantime, and , oh yeah, I need to continue to make a living the old fashioned way: being a drone in the hive.

Antique Pickers and Auto Responders

Well I found my niche. I love antiques and have really enjoyed being a picker and an auctioneer and yet I know how tough that field can be to jump into. It doesn't take much to lose your shirt. soooo. I developed a website to put in one place lots of information pickers might need to help them get ahead.

In the process of that, I realized I would need an autoresponder and finally found one that gives a free 30 day trial before it starts to charge you. The neat thing is that if you sign up as an affiliate, it won't take much before it is paying you! YOu can see what I mean here
I also wrote 3 articles and submitted them to ezine.com and have already had some hits from that. I did get one more sign up for the antiques course so I think I'm on the right track

Doing What You Love

The idea of making money on the internet is a good one, but competition is fierce. I already make some money with Ebay and with a course on Antiques and I don't want to stray too far from that. I have learned about the need for an autoresponder and yet, I am not ready to invest in one until I have a stream of emails and reports ready to set up my first campaign. For now, I will pursue the creation of that campaign, put a few things on Ebay to try to build up a mailing list, or at least the beginnings of one, and continue to read and learn. Not much money being made yet. Just to show you that it does work, here is a part of my Universal Class statement:
